Paola Paola Belanzoni is Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology.
She received her Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Perugia (1997).
Her primary research work is within the Theoretical Inorganic Chemistry field on the electronic structure, bonding and magnetic properties (ESR, and Heisenberg magnetic coupling) of transition-metal containing systems, on the bonding/reactivity relationship in organometallic compounds and on catalysis, particularly homogeneous gold-catalysis and bio-inspired inorganic catalysts, by a Density Functional Theory approach.
She is member representing Italy of the Management Committee of the ECOSTBio-COST Action CM1305 "Explicit Control Over Spin-states in Technology and Biochemistry".
